The 80 Series Sahara represented the absolute pinnacle of the Toyota Land Cruiser range in the early 1990s. Finished here in Red Mica over Grey Leather, this is a genuine factory 4.2 Turbo Diesel Sahara a vehicle that carried a Manufacturers Recommended List Price of $100,508 in 1993, rising to approximately $114,000 by 1995.

For context, a GXL variant at the time was around $40,000 less expensive. As a result, very few buyers stepped up to the Sahara specification, making early Turbo Diesel Saharas comparatively rare today.

This example has travelled 458,018 kilometres from new. It is not being represented as a low-kilometre showpiece rather, it is an honest and mechanically maintained 33-year-old Land Cruiser that presents well for its age and distance travelled.

Importantly, it remains in good condition for a vehicle of this era. The front leather seats have been retrimmed at some stage, presenting cleanly and comfortably, while the rear seats retain their original leather. The paintwork still carries a deep, lustrous finish and the vehicle shows no signs of rust or beach exposure. It spent much of its life in the Victorian High Country and more recently in Canberra environments far kinder than coastal conditions.
