The powertrain and improvements introduced recently on the new 2.4L Cannon have been
carried over to the Cannon Alpha PHEV ensuring that we are able to truly meet the needs of
Australian ute buyers.
Powered by GWMs Hi4T Plug-in Hybrid EV technology it offers up to NEDC 115km of pure
EV driving range (best in class), with a combined range of NEDC 1,060kms (best in class),
equipped with a 37.1kWh (best in class) ternary lithium battery, the 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine
(best in class) has been specially developed for optimal integration, delivering an impressive
combined 300kW of power and 750Nm of torque (best in class).
The Alpha cements its superiority to its PHEV ute competitors in max 3,500kg braked towing
capacity (best in class) and superior off-road capability thanks to its true mechanical torque
on demand 4x4 with low range and up to 3x mechanical diff locks (Ultra grade).
The efficient Hi4T plug-in hybrid technology boasts a best in class 1.7L/100km (NEDC)
combined cycle (best in class), emitting only 39g Co2 per km (best in class), and
7.9L/100km (NEDC) low charge consumption thus providing our owners real world benefits
they can experience.
Through the CCS2 charge port, customers can charge the Alpha PHEV up to 50kW DC
replenishing the vehicle from 30-80% in 24 mins. While charging at home on AC, you can
expect to replenish the battery in 6.5 hours with the capability of scheduled charging to
maximise off-peak electricity rates.
