Australian buyers are flocking to the new 25MY Isuzu MU-X, with the facelifted 7-seat SUV achieving record-breaking sales momentum and unprecedented levels of enquiries, orders, and test drives.

Demand has been led by the MU-X X-TERRAIN flagship, which has captured the attention of customers nationwide. With additional supply confirmed, deliveries of the 25MY MU-X are set to increase from September.

MU-X Sets New Sales Benchmarks

Since its arrival in March, the latest MU-X has sparked extraordinary market response across Australia.

In 2024, MU-X finished as the nation’s 6th best-selling 4x4 overall and 3rd place in the competitive ‘SUV Large < $80K’ segment. However, deliveries in early 2025 were limited due to reduced stocks of the outgoing 24MY MU-X.

That changed with the arrival of the 25MY version, which brought a refined design update and an expanded suite of new technology.

Sales surged:

  • 1,643 units in May
  • 2,033 in June – an all-time monthly record
  • 1,635 in July – a record for the month

In total, the MU-X achieved 5,311 deliveries across three months, the first time Isuzu UTE’s SUV has surpassed the 5,000 milestone in a single quarter.

Strong Demand for X-TERRAIN

The launch of the 25MY MU-X X-TERRAIN has been the standout driver of demand, with waiting lists quickly filling across the country.

With spring and school holidays around the corner, Isuzu UTE says it is focused on meeting demand and delivering vehicles quickly.

In 2024, 17,978 MU-X units were delivered in Australia, ranking it as the 15th best-selling car overall. With supply lifting in the months ahead, interest indicates the MU-X could surpass even that record tally in 2025.

More Stock, More Choice

To meet this unprecedented demand, Isuzu UTE is working closely with international production teams to ramp up local MU-X supply from September.
