Jimny Rhino limited edition confirmed after spy photos leak
Suzuki Australia has caved to public pressure and finally confirmed what many enthusiasts suspected all along – the Jimny Rhino is real. Not only has the elusive special edition been spotted in the wild, but it’s officially landed in Australia.
Carrying more adventure-ready gear than anyone thought possible, and offered exclusively in the iconic Kinetic Yellow paintwork (with a Pearl Black roof), previously reserved for Jimny 3-door models, the Jimny Rhino is based on the larger XL variant.
“In the interests of public order, we can confirm that the reported sightings of an elusive, and exclusive, 5-door Kinetic Yellow Jimny with special markings are indeed an entirely new Jimny – the special edition Jimny Rhino,” Suzuki Australia Automotive GM Michael Pachota said.
“The Jimny Rhino has officially arrived. And in the interests of public pre-orders, we’re pleased to confirm it’s available to order through the Suzuki Australia Dealer Network.”
It takes everything Australians already love about the Jimny and adds a collection of exclusive enhancements, including an exclusive Rhino-themed side decal featuring a charging rhino motif accompanied by twin stripes that sweep rearward.
Following the contour of the rear wheel arch, the design flows towards the rear of the vehicle to create a sense of movement before culminating in the Japanese script for the word “rhino” in a subtle nod to the Jimny’s Japanese heritage and JDM culture.
Finished in a premium Gloss Black and Satin Aluminium colour palette, the decals are joined by 15-inch diamond cut alloy wheels featuring a Shuriken-inspired design, satin silver side skirts, Suzuki’s heritage front grille, mudflaps and puddle lights.

Inside, satin silver air vent surrounds, black leather wrapped door handles and passenger assist handle with kinetic yellow stitching and laser-etched Rhino special edition logos feature, along with 8-colour customisable footwell illumination.
Kinetic Yellow is an option here too, while upgraded Pioneer speakers, bespoke tray rubber floor mats featuring Jimny logo and bespoke interior Rhino Special Edition badging round out the package.
Buyers will also get a specially curated gift that includes a Rhino-branded metal key presentation case, key chain, bucket hat, portable lantern, drink bottle, blanket, thermos tumbler, cooler box and portable Bluetooth speaker.
A Rhino Rations pack containing Koko Black 9-piece Dark Chocolate Pistachio praline box presented in a bespoke Rhino Special Edition branded sleeve is also included. Pricing starts from $44,990 (manual) and $47,490 (auto), both plus on-roads.
The Jimny Rhino is expected to attract strong demand from enthusiasts, first time Jimny buyers (Suzuki likes to call them “Adventure seekers”) and collectors alike. Deliveries are expected from 1 July.
