GWM confirms pricing and specifications for the new HAVAL H7
GWM has today confirmed pricing and specifications for the new HAVAL H7, with the bold mid-size SUV now available at dealerships in two electrified variants. Introductory pricing starts from just $45,990 drive away.
Combining distinctive styling, electrified performance and all-road capability, the HAVAL H7 introduces a more adventurous SUV offering to the GWM showroom, while retaining the comfort, technology, practicality and value Australian customers have come to expect from the brand.
With a choice of hybrid and plug-in hybrid powertrains, and GWM’s proprietary Hi4 intelligent all-wheel-drive system standard across the range, customers can enjoy the convenience and efficiency of a self-charging hybrid or a plug-in hybrid.
To be offered in Lux and Vanta trims, its bold, boxy exterior, upright proportions and strong body lines create a commanding road presence, setting it apart from the increasingly streamlined designs found across the segment.
The H7’s rugged styling is complemented by the comfort and practicality expected of a modern family SUV, with a spacious five-seat cabin designed to accommodate passengers and the demands of everyday life.
The hybrid delivers up to 182kW of combined system power, combining strong performance with the convenience of self-charging hybrid technology that requires no external charging. The flagship Vanta PHEV AWD produces up to 320kW of combined system power and 670Nm of torque.
Acceleration from 0–100 km/h takes just 4.9 seconds, giving the H7 performance to match its purposeful exterior design. Equipped with a 33.7kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery, the PHEV offers up to 137km of electric driving range.
For longer trips, the petrol engine and electric motors work together to deliver a combined driving range of up to 844km. The H7 Vanta AWD variants feature GWM’s Hi4 intelligent all-wheel drive technology, combining electrified performance with enhanced traction and control.
The system uses the strengths of the electrified drivetrain to support both efficiency and capability, helping the H7 navigate sealed roads, loose surfaces and more challenging terrain. Up to eight selectable driving modes tailor the vehicle’s response to different environments.
A locking rear differential provides additional traction in demanding conditions. On the PHEV, Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) functionality allows the high-voltage battery to power compatible external electrical equipment, adding convenience for camping, touring and outdoor activities.
Inside, a comfortable, connected cabin complements the rugged exterior, with generous passenger accommodation and a focus on everyday usability. Depending on grade, equipment includes a panoramic sunroof, heated steering wheel, and heated and ventilated front seats.
The new GWM HAVAL H7 is now available.
