It is a free-revving and willing engine and ensured the Mazda 3 has plenty of get up and go whenever needed.

Driving
Mazda’s 'Zoom-Zoom' pitch to buyers was built around the dynamic driving experience and the Mazda3 lives up to the promise.

The engine delivers a good blend of performance and driveability, the ride was on the firm side, but comfortable, and the chassis was agile and responsive.

Safety
All models across the BK range were rated by ANCAP at four stars.
It has airbags for the driver and for the front seat occupants, and seatbelt load limiters and pre-tensioners.

As well as the airbags it also has ventilated front disc brakes and solid disc rear brakes.

This Mazda’s petrol engine uses a cam timing chain rather than a belt.
