MG lifts the lid on fresh new ZS HYBRID+ small SUV
Significantly more powerful than its predecessor, tje 2025 MG ZS HYBRID+ offers 158kW of power and 465Nm of torque. It follows the launch of the HYBRID+ MG3,with the new model bringing an array of upgrades across two trim levels (Excite and Essence).
The first is the pairing of a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated 4-cylinder petrol engine, with a 1.83kWh NCM battery and hybrid setup. Combined fuel economy is a claimed 4.7-litres/100km. Featuring the Chinese car maker’s new SUV front end, first revealed on the HS, the ZS boasts improved suspension.
You'll find three drive modes (Eco, Normal and Sport), in a car that is longer and wider than the outgoing model. It gets a bigger wheelbase for improved handling. All that translates to more interior space, with the boot growing to 443-litres, or 1,457-litres with the second row folded.
It’s priced from $33,990 drive away for the Excite and $36,990 drive away for the Essence. “Australian motorists have fallen in love with the ZS in recent years,” MG Motor ANZ CEO Peter Ciao said.
“After our MG3 HYBRID+ launch earlier this year, MG is pursuing its strategy of bringing value packed innovative hybrid technology across its entire range with the ZS.”
With eight dynamic propulsion modes, the intelligent ECU seamlessly adapts to the current driving conditions in real time too, providing a balance of efficiency and power, to suit the actual driving conditions. The 2025 ZS HYBRID+ features MG PILOT safety.
It's a platform that includes autonomous emergency braking, lane keep assist, adaptive cruise control, lane change assist, intelligent cruise assist and rear cross traffic alert as standard across the range. Both variants also get forward collision warning, blind spot detection, and intelligent speed limit assist.
It’s backed by MG’s 10-year or 250,000km warranty. Deliveries of the new ZS HYBRID+ commence immediately.
