Seller's Comment

Let's wander down the rabbit hole.

It's a long and winding tunnel, filled with darkness, uncertainty and disorientation.

It's easy to get lost, and even easier to get turned around.

In fact getting turned around is part of the overall experience.

Come walk with me...... if you have the time.

I paid peanuts for this car, $1800 bucks.

I didn't even want it, said no twice, then got offered what seemed like a figure so low you couldn't lose money.

The Dealer that traded it, sold it to a wholesaler, who sold it to me, so what did that they pay for it from the start? It wasn't pretty. It was undesirable.

Any way who cares, worst case you spend 2 or 3 grand, it owes you a somewhere north of 5k, and you got a 7 to 8k car.

It's got 200ks, but it's a 15 model, auto and an i20.

Righto, i'll take it, i said.

Off to panel we go, break all the rules and don't get a mech check before spending way more than you thought you would on the very first step, of which you know there is many.

Like every panel beater visit, you pay normally about double of what you hoped to pay, to the cheapest guy you know, and then you get it back never completely satisfied.

Off to the mechanical inspection that you should have had done prior to panel.

What's that, it needs what? How many?

Oh.

Oh well, we're waaaay too far in now to turn back, hit the button.

I'm sorry, what's that? You've done the things you say it needed, but now you've done them, it's now more obvious it needs these other things you didn't know about, because the first line of problems were masking the original problems you've now found, as a result of fixing all the others?

Right, yeah. okay.

Well, hit the button, we're pretty cooked now.

I'm sorry, wait up again, say what? We've reached how much of our budget already?

Oh dear.

Maybe we can just break even on this one.

Ok cool, we're over the shock now, are we all good, do we need anything else?

Ahh, yes. You need new tyres and 6mths rego, and you can forget making any money on this one.

You're just gunna have a liability in traffic. You've created a fresh potential problem all by yourself.

That's what you've got for your time and effort.

Right, ok.

Well that's that.

Now the unending uncertainty of having it on the market and wondering aimlessly if anyone is going to be interested in any way.

You've spent more than double of what you intended and it could be worth half of what you think it is.

I think i might put up a sign that says "Wood ducks wanted, please apply within"

Comes with current roadworthy certificate, 15mths warranty with 15mths roadside assistance available and rego til 24th September 2026
